ENGLISH: We completed this episode in March of 2025 and are preparing it for the educational market. Focused on Afro-Peruvian percussion instruments, it shows how one of these instruments – the cajón – has now entered world music in a big way. It also talks about women as percussionists.

The half-hour documentary is accompanied by several Extras. In one Lalo Izquierdo (present at the occasion) tells how the Afro-Peruvian cajón entered Spanish flamenco. In another, Huevito talks about how he became a percussionist. In a third, John Santos talks about playing in his grandfather’s band.
